About Groundwater Dynamics Ltd

The co-founders of Groundwater Dynamics, Joe O’Meara and Matty Dale are long-standing friends. Both have a background in financial services and in 2012 were looking at investments backed by renewable energy installations. One such was ECO-90™.

Joe and Matty agreed a pilot test-case with Edgbaston Cricket Club who had a problem with saturated ground and standing water on their test-match practice nets and wanted to see if a ECO-90™ system could solve their problem (so no pressure there then!). The installation was a major success and news of the results attracted interest from numerous high-profile sporting venues, including Gleneagles Golf Course (greens and fairways), Royal Ascot Racecourse (Parade Ring) and Silverstone Racing Circuit (Becketts Corner). The business was up and running.

The success of the ECO-90™ system started tickling the ears of a number of Consulting Drainage Engineers, looking for on-site drainage solutions for new build developments. Their interest was set against a SuDS (Sustainable Drainage System) backdrop of contingent planning permission that stated that storm water had to be dealt with at source (on-site), or with restricted access to a storm drain.

Now with over 300 installations across the UK, the ECO-90™ system is increasingly used by architects and drainage engineers as the go-to system for drainage design. Many recreational facilities continue to turn to us for standing water issues, as do commercial and residential properties suffering from flash flooding.

In 2018 we put in place £2 million of Professional Indemnity Cover against each ECO-90™ installation, providing industry-wide confidence in the unique and unrivalled ECO-90™ system.

So check out the sectors we operate in and do get in touch. You will find us down to earth (pardon the pun), friendly, solution driven and dependable. Welcome to our world.
